Don't Feed the Cat
Don't Feed the Cat is a cooking game where you're crafting different recipes with your very involved front-of-house manager. On your first day you're given two rules: complete the orders, and don't feed the cats in the back alley way. Surely a pet and a quick snack wouldn't hurt anyone...
Earn points for completing orders, and bonus points for entertaining the cats. But be careful, the wandering manager likes to keep an eye on how things are going, and is prone to stress when things aren't going as planned. Complete orders and stay in line to ensure she keeps her patience, but miss orders or get caught in the alleyway and her patience goes down.
Controls:
- Press E to interact (pick up ingredients, petting the cat, submitting meals)
- Hold E to complete actions (chopping ingredients, feeding the cat)
- Press E and wait for long passive actions (boiling water, baking a meal)
Theme Considerations
The goal behind this jam was to make a game that honoured the theme "rules are meant to be broken." A secondary goal of ours was to incorporate cats in whatever way that we can. It naturally made sense to create an environment where it would be discouraged to feed cats. It can't be too serious of a rule if the cats are that cute, right?
